Envelope Gaskets

• Slit Envelope Gaskets - are essentially ring gaskets with 0.020" thick leaves slit from the OD to approximately 3/64" from the ID. These slit envelope gaskets are the most widely used gasket type in sizes for 1" to 12" OD.
• Milled Envelope Gaskets - are made from PTFE cylinder stock, machined from their OD to within 3/64" of the ID. Milled envelope gaskets are available in standard sizes as well as various take-outs to accommodate your filler.
• Formed Shield Envelope Gaskets - this design is used for large diameters and for irregular configurations, such as tank heads and manholes. A wide variety of elliptical and other irregular configurations are also available.
• Double Jacket Envelope Gaskets - these envelope gaskets are recommended for vacuum service. The design of double jacket envelope gaskets completely covers the filler material with two overlapping PTFE jackets for optimum protection from corrosive attack.

Chemiseal® AF PTFE envelope gaskets provide positive, trouble-free sealing in most applications ranging from mild to severely corrosive environments. PTFE envelope gaskets are available in a broad range of standard sizes and configurations, as well as custom sizes upon request. Ideal applications for PTFE envelope gaskets include uses in equipment employing alloy, standard steel and glass-lined flanges; plastic, ceramic, and other types of flanges, and conical end glass pipe.

• Style 6300 - 1/16" or 1/8" thick AF filler for maximum softness and formability, and low compressive bolt loading.
• Style 6302 - Corrosion resistant, corrugated stainless steel between two layers of AF filler for pressures to 300 psi (pounds per square inch).
• Style 6303 - CRS Adapter steel core with 1/8" thick AF filler on each side.
• Style 6305 - same configuration as Style 6300, using 1/16" or 1/8" proprietary Garlock Blueguard® 3000 asbestos-free material in place of AF filler.
• Style 6326 - 1/8" thick Garlock Blueguard® 3000 asbestos-free filler between two 1/16" layers of AF material.

Chemiseal^® GZ - Designed for severe service conditions. Chemiseal GZ envelope gaskets are soft, easily compressible, chemically inert PTFE. The combination of chemical resistance and very low permeability make the Chemiseal GZ envelope gasket a superior gasket for severe corrosive service in glass lined equipment where conventional envelope gaskets will not meet the requirements. Chemiseal GZ envelope gaskets are designed to seal from cryogenic temperatures to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and conform to all FDA specifications. Other high performance features of Chemiseal GZ envelope gaskets include a stress free envelope, low torque sealing, and are fiber and filler free. Chemiseal GZ envelope gaskets are 100% PTFE and are FDA approved.
