Plastomer Technologies, a leading manufacturer of PTFE and engineered plastic products, has announced the selection of David Torrance as Vice President and General Manager. David joins Plastomer from Georgia Pacific Chemicals LLC where he most recently held a business management role. During his twenty years at Georgia Pacific Chemicals, David also held a variety of leadership positions in the areas of plant management, continuous improvement and engineering.
Among the areas of expertise that David brings to Plastomer are change management, organizational development, business development, product management, product development and operations management. David's strong technology skills, excellent business acumen and vast global perspective will prove excellent assets to the Company.
David holds an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin. David and his family are relocating from Atlanta, GA to Houston, TX, where Plastomer Technologies is headquartered.
